5/6th Girls Division [standings]

The regular season for the 5/6th grade girls basketball league has wrapped up, and the tournament seeds are officially finalized following an exciting final week of games!

The HER-icanes also showcased their strength, defeating the Shockers 28-10 to finish the season at 7-1, claiming the #1 seed for the upcoming tournament.

In a dominant performance, the Lady Wildcats secured a convincing 24-6 victory over the Sky, finishing the season with a strong record. This win solidifies their position as the #2 seed with a 7-1 record. Their tie with the HER-icanes was settled by a week six 18-13 ‘Canes victory.

The Hornets edged out the Sparks in a nail-biting 19-17 finish, securing their spot as the #3 seed with a 6-2 record.

The Shockers and Crete Storm both ended their seasons at 4-4, with the Shockers claiming the #4 seed due to their 21-19 victory over the Storm week 3. The Storm also had a solid year, and will enter the tournament as the #5 seed.

The Sparks finished at #6 with a 3-5 record, while the Swarm, despite their struggles, ended with a 1-7 record for the season, landing them at #7. The Sky had a tough season, finishing at 0-8, securing the #8 seed.

The regular season for the 5/6th grade boys basketball league has concluded following an action-packed final week of games!

The Bulls capped off their perfect season with a strong 40-28 victory over the Carpenters, finishing at 8-0 and securing the #1 seed for the tournament.

The #2 Athens Athletics narrowly held on to win 35-34 in their season finale over the Sidon Hunters. The Hunters finished at 5-3, securing the #4 seed.

In a closely contested game, the Blazers managed to edge out the #7 Jericho Demolition 25-24. Their victory solidified their position as the #3 seed with a 7-1 record.

The Nazareth Carpenters split their doubleheader today, winning 40-32 against the Runnin’ Rebels but falling to the Bulls 40-28. Despite the split, they finished the season at 5-3, claiming the #5 seed.

In a thrilling finish, the Bethlehem Kings edged out the Mad Ants with a nail-biting 15-14 victory, securing their place in the tournament and moving up two spots to #8. This win was crucial, as it came down to a last-second shot, showcasing their determination to finish the season strong.

The Runnin’ Rebels and Mad Ants both ended their seasons at 2-6. The Rebels fell one spot to #9, while the Mad Ants dropped three spots to #10 after a tough season.

As Week 7 of the 5/6th grade girls basketball division played out, the competition intensified with teams vying for better playoff positions as the regular season winds down.

The Lady Wildcats put on a dominant display today, winning 32-4 over the Sky in a week 1 makeup game & then 24-10 over the #5 Crete Storm. These 2 victories, combined with a 22-14 win over the Shockers on Friday night, propelled the Wildcats back into the #2 seed with a 6-1 record.

The Shockers faced a tough schedule this weekend, battling the Wildcats on Friday before facing the Hornets on Saturday. They managed to bounce back from Friday’s loss in a significant way, upsetting the Hornets 18-10. This win not only knocked the Hornets from the top spot, but also showcased the Shockers’ resilience and heart.

The HER-icanes capitalized on the Hornets’ loss, defeating the Sparks 26-10. This victory allows the HER-icanes to leapfrog into the #1 seed, but they can’t get too comfortable. The HER-icanes will take on the Shockers in the regular season finale next Saturday. That will be the game to watch!

In a much-anticipated matchup, the Swarm battled to their first win of the season, triumphing over the Sky with a score of 20-6. This victory is a significant milestone for the #7 Swarm, bringing them some much-deserved success as they look to build momentum as the tournament nears.

The #6 Team Spirit kicked off their doubleheader Saturday with a solid 22-15 victory over the 7th-seeded Chill.

The Wildcats also had a busy day with two games, and they made the most of it! They first defeated the #8 Lynx 24-16, then capped off their day with a commanding 36-14 win over Team Spirit. These two victories helped the Wildcats climb from the 5th seed to the #3, demonstrating their competitive spirit and readiness for the tournament.

The #1 Raptors (6-1) continued their impressive run, defeating the Benjamite Wolves 25-7. This victory holds their top position with one game left in the regular season.

Meanwhile, the #2 Sting (also 6-1) showcased their offensive firepower with a resounding 46-26 win over the Mt. Sinai Big Ten. Despite the loss, the Big Ten remains competitive only sliding down one spot in the standings.

The action in Week 2 of the girls’ 7-9th grade basketball division delivered excitement and drama as teams fought for supremacy on the court!

In a tightly contested battle, Team Spirit edged out the Lynx with a narrow 17-14 victory, marking their first win of the season. It seems the spirit is alive and well in this squad!

The Wildcats soared to a dominant 27-10 win over The Chill, proving they’re not just lounging around but ready to pounce on any opportunity that comes their way.

Meanwhile, the Raptors took flight and swooped in for a decisive 28-9 victory against the Mt. Sinai Big Ten, showcasing their skills and determination. With this win, they’ve joined the ranks of victorious teams!

The Sting continued their impressive run, blasting past the Benjamite Wolves with a staggering 41-12 win. With such a commanding performance, they’ve established themselves as serious contenders this season.

As it stands, the Chill (aka the Jaguars) and the Benjamite Wolves are still looking for their first wins after dropping their season openers. However, the Sting and Wildcats remain undefeated, setting the stage for an epic showdown next week in Springboro that will leave one of them with a blemished record.

With the Raptors and Team Spirit both celebrating their first wins, the competitive spirit is alive and well.

The 7th and 8th-grade boys basketball division delivered another week of thrilling action, with teams battling it out for supremacy on the court!

The Storm brought the heat, dominating the Huskies with a staggering 41-11 victory that left no doubt about their intentions this season. They are definitely a force to be reckoned with!

In a nail-biter, the Avalanche edged out the Silver Shamrocks, winning 35-28 in a game that kept fans on the edge of their seats. The Avalanche continues to show that they can rise to any challenge!

The Lyttle Giants flexed their muscles against the Philippian Earthquake, securing a strong 24-15 win. Coming out strong, the Giants notched their first victory, proving they’re ready to make some noise this season.

The Thunder rolled past the Nineveh Rebounders with an impressive 40-17 win, maintaining their undefeated status alongside the Storm and Avalanche. They’re making it clear that they’re not just a storm in a teacup but a full-blown weather phenomenon!

As it stands, the Storm, Thunder, and Avalanche are all undefeated after two weeks, while the Huskies, despite their earlier success, faced their first loss today. Next week, the Rebounders are looking to bounce back, the Earthquake is eager to shake off their troubles, and the Shamrocks are crossing their fingers for a little luck as they all search for their first wins of the season.

5/6th Girls Division [standings]

As the basketball season tipped off amidst a snowy backdrop, the courts were alive with action—albeit with one unfortunate cancellation as the Sky missed out on their game with the WCN Lady Wildcats due to winter weather.

However, the action was anything but frosty for the Her-icanes, who blew away the Shockers with a resounding 30-6 victory. Talk about a storm warning! Meanwhile, the Crete Storm rolled into the game with a fierce determination, topping the WCN Swarm 25-11, proving that they’re not just a passing breeze but a force to be reckoned with.

In another thrilling matchup, the Hornets buzzed past the Sparks with a solid 25-14 win, showcasing their agility and teamwork.

With the opening day behind us, it looks like this season is shaping up to be a whirlwind of excitement.

In a thrilling showdown, the Athens Athletics narrowly edged out the Runnin’ Rebels with a nail-biting 27-24 victory. It was a contest where every point counted, and the Athletics proved they can run with the best!

Meanwhile, the Mad Ants buzzed their way to a tight 14-11 win over the Bucks, showcasing that sometimes, a little determination goes a long way—even when the scores are as low as a mid-range jump shot.

The Bucks took note that every possession counts as they managed to sneak past the Bethlehem Kings with an 18-13 in their second game of the day.

The Blazers lit up the scoreboard, dominating the Nazareth Carpenters 31-23. Their offensive flair left the competition in the dust, making it clear that they’re here to play!

In a true display of strength, the Bulls bulldozed their way to a commanding 40-13 victory over the Jericho Demolition. If this game was any indication, the Bulls are a team that won’t be easily stopped!

Last but certainly not least, the Sidon Hunters unleashed their fury, defeating the Panthers in a staggering 44-9 blowout. Talk about a hunting season opener!
